Nearly 60 executives gathered for an Information Session regarding the upgraded BMI Executive Programme on Impactful Leadership and Corporate Finance, including an expert lecture by Prof. Martin Essenburg, and the presentation of certificates to recent graduates on 27 February in the BMI Executive Hall.
The innovative 5-month programme for executives, which BMI introduced last year, is tailored to the needs of executives who seek to systematically enhance their knowledge and skills under the guidance of international experts, who need flexible and efficient delivery to fit their busy lives, and who want tangible commercial results, BMI Director General Jaunius Pusvaškis told the gathering.
The twin focus of its three modules is ensuring business decisions capture and create real value, and effectively leading a team to those objectives, since “you can have brilliant ideas, but if you can’t get them across, your ideas won’t get you anywhere,” Mr Pusvaškis explained.
M&A valuation models was the topic of the lecture by Prof. Essenburg of DePaul University in the USA, who teaches corporate finance at BMI International EMBA. It gave potential applicants a taste of the programme’s contents and the level of its international lecturer-practitioners. They also experienced first-hand the value of networking in the BMI community of business leaders.
Also on hand were alumni of cohort I, who completed the programme with an optional module at Tulane University in New Orleans in late January. A special ceremony was held to present them with their certificates. The 29 executives in cohort I, with an average age of 41 and well over a decade of management experience on average, represent numerous diverse industries. Four-fifths of them are owners and CEOs, and they gave the programme an overall quality rating of 91%. They also welcomed this opportunity to mingle with the impressive group of executives who are now considering joining the programme.
Note that admissions for the 2017 edition of the Impactful Leadership and Corporate Finance Programme (Class II) are currently underway.
