Executives in Class XIX of the BMI 4-Continent Executive MBA will long remember the night of Saturday, April 21, when they were officially welcomed into the BMI family of 750 business leaders at a “christening” event with members of several past cohorts.
“Congratulations to the ambitious executives in our newest cohort!” BMI Director General Jaunius Pusvaškis noted in his welcome address. “You have dared to go for the systematic business knowledge and practical managerial skills that BMI offers. Along with that, of course, you also get a strong international network, which we celebrate tonight.”
Organized with flair by EMBA Class XVIII, the baptism party gathered about 100 people altogether at Terrazza – a cosy restaurant within the Forum Palace. The evening began with mingling over food and drink. BMI Professor of Economics Eamonn Walsh (University College Dublin, Ireland) shared a few words of wisdom. BMI officials presented those in Class XIX with their regalia as members of the BMI family.
Then things got serious: the screening of a special film made just for the occasion, the raising of a glass of mystery liquid to complete the christening act, a general test of wits in gameshow form with fine awards and prizes, and – of course – a big impressive tasty cake. Finally, lively music and dancing carried the celebration well into the night...
