BMI Executive Institute continues its partnership with the conference Pauzė

BMI Executive Institute is continuing collaboration with the region’s biggest emotional intelligence and soft skills conference – Pauzė. The focus of the event is to promote empathic leadership, a healthier work environment and emotional well-being. The forum will be broadcast online on 2-3 February.

The conference includes a first day focused on leadership and a second day dedicated to the concept of the team. It combines lectures by experts from various fields with practical sessions as well as panel discussions for sharing experience.

BMI has worked with Pauzė’s organisers to craft the programme for the first, Leadership, day. According to Jurga Bendikaitė-Ursavaş, Director General of BMI, it is important to continue the conversation about the importance of soft skills, which are becoming more and more important.

“The ability to identify and manage your emotions, also known as emotional intelligence, is one of the paramount skills needed today. It is important for everyone, but even more so for leaders who are surrounded by a team. Only a manager with high EQ is able to create and nurture a positive emotional environment within an organization. It is an essential tool that helps to shape and inspire people. Putting the emphasis on personal communication with your employees, rather than mainly focusing on KPIs, empowers people to achieve their own as well as the organisation’s goals,” the Director General of BMI says.

Almantas Dulkys, the creator and organiser of Pauzė, an evolution of last year’s Laimės Forumas conference, says the event is for everyone seeking ways to boost the efficiency of work and combine that with greater personal happiness and a healthier lifestyle. Researchers are united in stating that happy employees are more productive and creative.

“For last year’s conference we expected 800 participants and attracted a crowd of 16,000. That is proof that the event was very timely. Entrepreneurs are increasingly turning their attention to the needs of their employees, striving to create an environment that is favourable to them and to offer benefits for their mental health and personal development. This year we are looking to offer an even more attractive and relevant event with practical and long-term benefits,” says Almantas Dulkys.

Speakers at the conference will include a wide range of experts, among them: Mark Lepik, the only person in the Baltics certified under the Google-born Emotional Intelligence Programme, Dr Laura Bojarskaitė, a neuroscientist at the University of Oslo who researches sleep, Prof. Dr Allan Pool, a neuroscientist at the University of Dallas who researches behaviour and motivation; and Remi Jay, a former talent hunter for Netflix.
