DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION

“It is time to refresh your skills – like a personal software upgrade”

14-15 January 2020, Vilnius

Overview:

No organization, it seems, is immune to the realities in which business models, value propositions, customer experiences, products, services, organizational processes and management practices have been, or are being, transformed by technologies such as social media, mobile, analytics, cloud, Internet of Things (IoT), blockchain, and artificial intelligence. It is therefore paramount that all organizations have a strategy that clearly maps out how the organization plans to leverage digital technologies and the business outcomes that it is seeking. Executing this strategy requires building the necessary organizational capabilities and achieving the required organizational transformation. However, research reveals that this is incredibly difficult to achieve.

Business leaders play a pivotal role in determining whether or not their organizations exploit the innovative opportunities provided by technology. In particular, realizing value from digital requires the leadership team’s attention and oversight. They set the tone for digital, and their active participation determines whether their organization optimizes a return from spending on technology. Many don’t seem to understand this, or quite know what they should do.

The objective of this two-day program is to provide guidance for participants to successfully navigate the digital landscape. In particular, the program will help participants leading digital transformation in their organizations establish the necessary environment for success with digital, address the key questions of where, when, and how to invest, and consider how they can manage the necessary transformation to realize planned outcomes. Participants will gain a thorough understanding of the impact of digital technologies on organizations and competition.

Content:

The 2-day module will focus on:

  • Establishing a frame of reference for considering digital in a strategic context;
  • Providing a language to discuss opportunities and challenges;
  • Introduce frameworks to aid in considering options and crafting a digital strategy;
  • To illustrate the pathways that studies suggests lead to successful transformation;
  • To present lessons and prescriptions from research;
  • To identify key lessons.

Participant profile:

This highly practical module is for senior executives in any industry who want to ignite innovation, or anyone managing a difficult internal process. Module is designed for senior executives in charge of any business unit, product managers, directors of strategy, operations and finance managers.

Credits received during the full Innovation & Digital Transformation programme (3 modules) are subject to be transfered to BMI 4-Continent Executive MBA programme.
