International Experts Thank BMI after EPAS Accreditation Visit

Four international management education experts visited BMI this week for an in-depth review of the BMI 4-Continent Executive MBA. The review is part of a regular renewal of the high-level EPAS accreditation which the programme, uniquely in the country, has enjoyed since 2006.

EPAS accreditation by EFMD Global is the most prestigious accreditation body for business schools in the world and BMI EMBA Programme is the only one in Lithuania granted by this accreditation.

Coming from the UK, China and Scandinavia and delegated by the EFMD – a leading global management studies accreditation body, the team examined BMI’s governance and strategy as an institution, the design, delivery and outcomes of the EMBA itself, and the established processes to ensure continuing quality in keeping with strict international standards.

“Please convey our thanks to all the international faculty, students, alumni and employers who took time to meet with us. Discussions with them were most valuable,” said Dr Carol A. Vielba of Cass Business School, the Chairman of the Peer Review Team. “The team was highly impressed by the comments of all the various stakeholders regarding the strong quality of the teaching at BMI as well as the management and administration of the programs,” she added.

The team of expert reviewers also included Prof. Japhet S. Law (former Dean of the School of Business Administration at the Chinese University of Hong Kong), Dr Adam Smale (Dean of the School of Management at the University of Vaasa, Finland) and Anne Martory (a former Senior Executive of Statoil ASA Norway and corporate member of the EPAS Accreditation Board).

In coming months, the team will prepare a report with specific recommendations for the management of BMI and for consideration by the EPAS Accreditation Board.
