BMI Presents...: Building brands in the world of 2020

Drawing on its network of top professors from business schools worldwide, BMI is pleased to invite you to a public lecture and discussion with Prof. Andrés Cúneo, an expert in strategic brand management, on how to build brands effectively in the reality of markets today.

The value of a firm, it is said, resides in the minds of customers, their perception of relevance. Achieving that is getting more difficult amid commoditization, market fragmentation and skepticism about brand narratives. This session will apply the latest insights from strategic brand management to discuss how to create and manage brand equity in the world of 2020.

Topics will include:

  • the core branding elements of identity and positioning,
  • finding non-tangible spaces for differentiation,
  • the relevance of brand purpose, and
  • building meaningful brand architecture.
Andrés Cúneo, a native of Chile, is Associate Professor of Marketing at Spain’s prestigious ESADE Business School who has also served as an executive and management consultant at major multinational and regional companies. For more than a decade now, he has been teaching marketing and branding strategy to executives in Europe, Asia and Latin America.
