Today a new cohort began BMI Executive Institute’s International Executive MBA. The 49 executives in Class 2023 set off on a journey of professional transformation which bears fruit already during the studies. Since the programme stresses a hands-on approach, combining practical cases, real-life examples and projects, and group workshops, participants can apply the acquired knowledge right away in their companies.
The members of the new cohort represent 20 industries: ICT, energy, manufacturing, retail, financial institutions, and others. The average age in the class is 39 years, with an average of 17 years of professional experience and 10 years of management experience, while 94% of participants hold top and senior management positions and 24% are board members. The cohort has a record number of female executives – women make up almost half the class.
“Investing in yourself is the best investment you can make, and we have over 950 testimonials from our alumni to attest to that. Today you start your learning journey, which will have its ups and the downs, but will definitely be an enriching experience. I encourage you all to deeply value the time you share with your classmates, because you will learn not only from our professors from top business schools around the world, but from one another as well,” Jurga Bendikaitė-Ursavas, the Director General of BMI, said in greeting the new cohort.
During the programme participants will analyse all aspects of business and strongly focus on developing their soft skills. The structure of the programme makes it possible to measure the improvement of each participant during the studies.
“We launch and close the programme with a course on leadership, and this allows us to clearly see the impact the EMBA experience has on each participant. It is a personal and professional transformation,” says Austėja Andziulytė-Milašiūnienė, Director of the EMBA programme at BMI.
BMI has a unique 100% visiting faculty, which means courses are delivered by professors from top business schools in the Americas, Europe and Asia. Our professors are also active business professionals who lead or have led their own companies or serve as executives or board members. Thus their teaching approach and style in class encourage participants to share their experiences, delivering highly practical knowledge.
The new cohort started the programme with Steven Poelman’s course “Leadership: Start with Yourself”, which will be followed by Amy Carrol’s course “Executive Presence” next week.
