By mid-2026, Lithuania will implement the EU Gender Directive, requiring large companies to ensure boardroom diversity. For some organizations, this will be mainly about compliance. For others, it is an opportunity to rethink governance, reshape corporate culture, and unlock new value.
This BMI Board Network session will bring together governance professionals from law, executive search, business, and policy to share practical insights and discuss what the new directive really means in practice.
What to expect:
- What the directive means in practice: timelines, requirements, and compliance steps
- How board mandates and candidate sourcing will change
- Sanctions, penalties, and reputational risks of non-compliance
- Gender balance as a driver of long-term sustainable value creation
- Quotas vs. competence – moving beyond the false dichotomy
Speakers:
- Laura Duksaitė-Iškauskienė, Managing Partner at Master Class Lietuva, executive search firm
- Robertas Vyšniauskas, Chair of the Board at EPSO-G, Chair of the Supervisory Board at KN Energies, Chair of the Board at Vilniaus vystymo kompanija
