After an inspiring start in Copenhagen, this year’s International Board Leadership & Governance Programme concluded in Vilnius, marking the graduation of our 2025 cohort. Across all modules, participants immersed themselves in high-level discussions, real governance cases, and peer learning guided by internationally recognised scholars and seasoned board professionals.
To ensure the highest quality of learning, we curated a faculty of leading global scholars and practitioners and invited distinguished external experts, each bringing deep expertise and hands-on governance experience to enrich the programme. Our distinguished faculty and speakers included Prof. gloria Batllori (Esade), Prof. Jette Steen Knudsen (Tufts University, Copenhagen Business School), Dr. Katalin Pallai, Lars Ohnemus, PhD (CBS), Prof. Trond Randøy (CBS), Šarūnas Dyburis (AIMS International), Rolandas Valiūnas & Robertas Čiočys (Ellex Legal), Dr. Andrius Smaliukas ( MMSP, Kesko Senukai Lithuania, Staticus), Leonas Lingis (EY), and Jurate Stanisauskiene (Lietuvos paštas, ORO NAVIGACIJA, Legal Balance), Julie Gørtz Smestad (Danske Bank), Jesper Berg (International Monetary Fund), each adding their unique expertise to this year’s learning journey.
A special highlight was the exclusive after-hours session with Rytis Valunas, Board Member at BMI and Smiltynės Perkėla and President of the BMI Alumni Executive Club, together with Vaida Česnulevičiūtė Markevičienė, Deputy Chair of the Lietuvos bankas | Bank of Lithuania. Their candid perspectives on governance in state-owned and financial institutions offered participants an exceptional window into real-world boardroom dynamics.
This programme, jointly crafted by BMI Executive Institute in partnership with CBS Executive Fonden, EY, and Ellex Legal, is designed to help leaders gain cutting-edge insights, elevate their leadership capabilities, and master practical strategies for addressing the complexities of today’s boardroom. Participants leave with deeper governance and leadership expertise, practical tools for ethical and effective decision-making, advanced knowledge in ESG, CSR, and corporate sustainability, and insights from advisors to the EU, UN, and global organizations.
