MODULE | Klaipėda, Lithuania | 13-14 March 2026

Resilient and Efficient Supply Chains

With Prof. Per Agrell and Dr. Ir. Manuel Herrera | UCLouvain Univeristy, Belgium

Overview

This module immerses participants in the journey of goods through a Baltic-focused supply chain, using Klaipėda’s distinctive logistics ecosystem as a hands-on learning environment. Over two days of interactive lectures, case-solving exercises, and role-play, participants will explore strategic coordination, operational trade-offs, and network design. The experience culminates in a full-day, real-life case study involving a manufacturer, port operations, and a rail terminal, providing direct engagement with industry actors and practical insights into modern supply chain dynamics.

How You Will Learn

Over two intensive days, you will engage in interactive lectures, case-based problem solving, and role-play exercises that bring theory to life. This will be complemented by a full-day real-life case experience, where you will work directly with a manufacturer, port operations, and a rail terminal to explore supply chain challenges in practice.

After this course you will be able to:

  • Explain the strategic role of logistics in both global and regional supply chains.
  • Map and analyze multimodal transport flows across sea, rail, and road.
  • Assess trade-offs in sourcing, transport mode selection, and inventory positioning.
