Strategic Project Leadership
With Bhajan Kaur, CEO and Partner at INSCALE
Overview
Strategic initiatives are essential for translating organisational ambitions into measurable business results. Yet even well-designed initiatives can fall short due to unclear strategic priorities, fragmented governance, misaligned stakeholders and delayed executive decisions.
This two-day module focuses on the role of senior leaders in guiding complex strategic initiatives from initial intent through execution and value realisation. Through practical frameworks, case discussions, decision-making exercises and peer learning, participants will explore how to strengthen executive sponsorship, align stakeholders, manage uncertainty and maintain strategic direction as circumstances evolve.
The course combines executive-level insights with practical application, enabling participants to address challenges within their own organisations and develop a personal leadership action plan.
Key topics:
- Strategic project leadership and the causes of initiative failure
- Strategic alignment, business case integrity and value realisation
- Executive sponsorship, governance and decision rights
- Stakeholder management, influence and cross-functional leadership
- Risk, uncertainty and executive judgement
